I'm new to the message board, not sure where I should have posted.

Anyway, my 99 F350 dullay was stolen last week, will have to get a new truck, not sure which one, but will be a one ton dual wheel, diesel and plan to look at all three. I liked the powerstroke, but the front end drove me crazy, would wear tires in the driveway. Not sure what is the best fit for me, I have an offshore boat, but do not pull it long distance. Comfort of ride is a big deal, my guess the fords ride the best. I like the look of the dodge, but want to look at all options.

Looking for unbaised opinions, if I have posted in the wrong forum, I have no problem with the moderator moving to telling me where best to post.

thanks, Billy

Chevy is the only way to go !:exactly:

the IFS front end on these trucks have a very nice ride

i have a 92 dodge diesel 4x4 and i should be paying another loan payment rather than what I have dished into that front end, had a rent a hemi from hertz it was a 04, and even though it was new I dont like the feeling in the wheel its just dead.

Good luck with your purchase!!!

Drive all three trucks and you will find the chevy more comfortable. The ifs is a lot softer than the solid axles. My cousin's 2000' f250 eats front tires sitting still also. If you look at used dodges you'll see they look the same. I know the duramax and dodge have some injetor problems, but there twice as reliable as the new 6.0's.

I heard the new 6.0 fords require a tremdaus amount of oil pressure before start up. something very stupid like 150 psi any thoughts?

WWDIII any tips ony suping up diesel fuel for proformance applications or maybe some better fuel mileage ?

High price in MA/NH area $2.57, low $2.26 what about you guys?

I'm not the guy on performance, I just tow a heavy boat, fuel is about 2.10-2.15, havent bought since my truck was boosted from my driveway with me on the phone, heard it driving off, but thought it was UPS guy.

My F350 would wear tires setting in the driveway.

I love the way the 01 Duramax drives. A friend of mine just recently purchased an 04.5' GMC Dually, and that thing rolls even smoother then mine. I absolutely love it. Although i have another buddy with a 04 GMC CC Duramax thatwants to get rid of it for a new Dodge Dually 6-speed.

I do, however, agree with the "drive all 3 comment" mentioned above. I think thats theonly true way you'll know whats up, and where you are as far as the "comfort" portion of your decision goes.

Good luck on your test drives, and let us know what you choose and think. :)

Definatly drive all 3 brands and that should decide it. When i bought mine, i was planning on getting the ford at first, but when i drove it i hated it. The steering was loose, extra plain/cheap interior, clunky doors ect......... Then i checked out the gmc/chevys and the secound i sat in it and started it up i was sold on it right there. The whole truck is just so much more refined! As for the dodge i dont know anything about it. I never considered it cuz im really just not a dodge guy. Once you have driven them, the descison should be fairly clear on whatever u want. Good luck!
