I have been reading alot of post due to saturday I noticed truck smoking at idle all day long, and the diesel exhaust smell is definitely worse. So I am guessing possibly injectors. I am going to try to bring it in this week for them to check it, there is 70,000 miles on it.
Of course this happens when work is busy so hard to find time to deal with it.

I have an appointment on monday at dealership, now the truck after sitting for a few hours loses prime. I have to reprime it only takes a few pumps to get diesel back in line, but it wont start till i prime it. we shall see on monday

well of course the dealer said that they didnt see any smoke (smoked on way home ) said injectors tested fine, so I also told them my fuel gauge read improper and a few weeks ago ran out of fuel, they checked and said it was accurate and if it happens again to bring it back

if its a lb7 mine had the reluctor gear comin loose and it gradually smoked more and more till it fell off.
