Ok, so here's my dilemma...

I would really like to order an 05 D/A, XC/SB, 4wd. I live in Vegas and saw the sunroof option on an 05 CC/LB 3500, non-dually truck at the Motor-Trend Show when it was in town just after Thanksgiving.

Now, my memory isnt that good, and i dont remember how the roof was. Id like to know if it is the same style sunroof that is in the newer style Yukon's or not.

Here's the next funky part of my dilemma....

I love the Sunset Orange Metallic color.

Is it possible to specially order an 05 DA/XC/SB 4wd, with a sunroof, and in SOM for a color ??

My guess is no, but has anybody heard of GM doing this for a little extra $$$ ??

The good news is that it IS possible, the bad news is you have to get 50 other orders to get it done. If the GMT 900 HD's have that color, I will be trading up. As far as the sunroof, I think it is the same as the Yukons, the don't fold back into the roof. I have included some pictures of the roof.

i have seen the factory sunroof, I would pass and go afternarket. do a search and look at the picture of jpcustoms sunroof. the factory sunroof does not even have a cloth slider to fully seal out light. not as nice as some aftermarket for sure

On my mothers Yukon it recesses into the roof, and doesnt fold over. It was just so new that i didnt know if any of you guys had problems with leaks or not yet. Im sure i can find 50 other people that would commit to that color. ;)

Thats the color. Looks pretty silly when all polished up. ;)
Im still researching this with my dealer, and a few other friends in the industry. Ill let you guys know what i find out though.
