Truck was running fine got home parked it overnight and went out to crank it up this morning now it wont start and it is throwing code P1261. I looked it up and it has something to do with injector voltage? Can anyone shed some light on the situation.

This is the only code showing...Im trying to avoid the stealership. Any ideas please.

Truck is an 04 with silverline exhaust, airraid intake, and bullydog tripledog programmer. No work done on truck and this is the only code. Ive read all sorts of things here and on other sites that show if there are other codes that appear with this code it shows what cylinders the problem is with, but I only have the one code??? Does this mean the FICM is bad? Any ideas???

Well can't be without a truck so its at the stealership. Still would like to hear from the mechanics out there that might shed some light on the situation.

Truck went to stealership. They said the fuel filter was leaking when they pressurized the system, which I know it wasnt prior to taking it there, Magically they replaced it and it starts right up. However, the p1261 code is still showing up. They said I need a new computer. Also they are blaming the bullydog programmer. Any ideas???? Somebody???? Please????

I told the stealership I wasnt buying a computer when I went to pick up my truck. They continued to tell me that the code that is showing up tells them that the computer is bad, I cant find anywhere on the internet that shows this code relating to the ecm. I think they are just trying to make some money off of me and Im not goin to let them. Long story short the truck is back home, runs and drives and the check engine light is off. Go figure....
