I have purchased an '02 DA CC SB 4x4 w/ 90k miles.
I want to drive it stock first before putting in the Edge to get a feeling for what the difference is when upgraded. I would like to see boost and egt while stock. I like the look of the analog gauges better than the Attitude digital.
Is the added functionality for Attitude interaction with Juice necessary or can you imagine just having analog?
Also- when Edge is installed, can you set it to stock or do you have to remove it?
And... what should I expect to see for boost and egt while stock in normal driving conditions with no load?
Thanks.

You lose a bit of functionality with the attitude gone beside gauges. With the attitude you can change when it defuels based on EGT, you can change low boost fueling, defule on shifts, ect. Also its much easy to change on the fly. I paid the extra 250$ or what ever it was for the extra bells and wistles but it wasnt needed. I'm persoanly glad I did though.
You can turn the edge to level 0 and its pretty much stock witha bit of timing thrown in. Its not really adding much power but the engin is running different.
Maybe 21ish PSI pre IC stock at WOT in 5. Cant remeber its been a long time since I have been stock.
What are you going to be doing with this truck?
Do you lose EGT backdown if you dont have the attitude? I cant remember?

What are you going to be doing with this truck?
daily driver, and i have a couple cross country runs with 9k# trailer (reason for upgrading to duramax).
other than that... i want the power upgrade... well... just because i want more power ):h . can you name another truck that 700 bucks will give you that much bolt on power and torque? power per dollar is incredible on this truck upgrade.
of course, my wife is okay with it because of the fuel savings and i 'need' it for the trailer hauls :muahaha:

The Attitude adds a lot of interesting features, plus another performance level. Just the same, I have only the module and my own, analog gauges and plan to keep it that way.

I run the Juice with Attitude and glad I brought it; it has so many features it would be time comsuming for me to do it and my memory wouldn't let me. I do like it when you can change the levals on the fly; but one of the big things in life is to make a wise choice.

Sorta off topic... Does anyone make A-pillar gauge pods with two gauge pods and the edge "pod"? Eventually, I am going to get an Edge W/Attitude, but want to keep my Analog gauges, and I could stick my ham radio head unit in the edge pod for any trips to the stealer.

makes me wonder what else you could say it was for....
you ever see the saturday night live skit where someone goes through the african relic store.... whenever they ask the hippy that works there what anything was for... he would say "you put your weeeeed in it..."
i like the ham radio routine. maybe you could say it was for a deck of cards. or a pack of chesterfields. business cards? just looks cool? or... "it's not mine"... or my favorite 3 words of all time that always got me out of trouble (my brother tought me this one).... simply shrug and say "i don't know"... no matter what... just stick with "i don't know" :muahaha:

I have the dual pillar pod. It looks kinda janky IMO. I like the stock look and it definatly dosnt have it.
I made a bracket outa metal and it attaches my attitude to my steering colom via velcro tape. The trippin pods look slick but I wanted em on my pillar. WIsh they would make a non janky pillar pod or pod for the steering colom.
I have a link with pics of my bracket somewere here if your interested
