Is there any difference between an early LB7 and the later LB7, as in did they resolve the injector issue in the later models (early 2004). All insight on this would be great. I am looking at buying a early 2004 w/ the LB7 and am a little uneasy with the injector isuue looming.

Nope, the injectors never changed, but as I have said on here a hundred times if not more, it is not that big of a deal it is a great motor and you will be happy with it. Our 03 is runnin strong at 150,XXX miles it is on it's 4th set of injectors but in all fairness 2 of those sets where ruined by the dealer mech who didn't have a clue how o the job right. Don't worry about it man.

ditto. 4 sets of injectors here. 2 due to dealer doofus mechanic. it is expensive when replaced out of warranty but it has been a great truck. no plans on selling mine.

if you decide you want more power the options are aplenty. you will love the power you can get from these trucks. i have over 500hp and drive my truck every day for work, on vacation, and to church. :)

183,000 and on the second set of injectors here, fiorst set at 32,000!

An LB7 is an LB7, just some come with smog crap and some don't.

Great fuel milage over the rest I believe as a whole, and pulls like a truck should!

The injector issue was fixed with the LLY in '04.5

Is there any difference between an early LB7 and the later LB7...

As WanaDmxSub points out the late model 04's came with the LLY in which the injectors (newer design) are accessible without removing the valve covers.. other changes were also were made to meet stricter emission requirements - egr etc ... some LLY owners have also experienced overheating issues .. do a search for more info ..
