: Gibson Swept Side Exhaust -- Resonation??

OK, I've owned my 2004 LB7 for almost a year now and have only changed out the air filter. At 15K, I'm itching to start my mods. It seems logical to go with an exhaust next. Has anyone had any experience towing and driving the Duramax with the Gibson stainless turbo back exhaust? I do a lot of family driving towing my travel trailer and just know that the better half is not going to put up with resonance inside the cab (especially since she doesn't understand the need for more power to begin with). I do a lot of mountain pulling so consider that the big diesel will be under low RPM loads much of the time. I've been told that Gibson is the quietest but if you have any other's to recommend, I'm all ears. Thanks!

Straight pipe and family=:badidea: Not sure about which exhaust has the least resonance, but I imagine any 4" exhaust from the top dealers will give you good performance and a quiet ride. You can also get a 4" with the muffler and a resonator, which would quite it down even more and not affect performance.

15k and only changed the air filter? you may want to change your fuel filter also!

No, I meant that is the only mod that I have done thus far is an aftermarket air filter. That does bring up an interesting point though, I was going to wait until 20K to change the fuel filter. I'm sure that nobody waits until GM recommends it but when really is the best time to do it. I have also been thinking about an auxiliary settup.
