i was wondering if there was any advantage with having a dual exhaust on my diesel i cant really see significant advantages. what about sound?
also is a straight pipe any better than one of these quiet flow through mufflers? i straight piped my last truck and loved it

i am still in a quandry about which exhaust to get, but on another note, what kind of front bumper do you have, see my sig for mine, i like it, but needs a winch.

Dual exhaust lets you smoke people on both sides of you):h
Dont see how there would be any difference in performance.

The LB7's without CAT's seem to be alright with straightpiping whereas the LB7/LLY's with CAT's need backflow/resistance or they tend to set codes. :o:
I just purchased the MBRP 4" cool duals from Mark Craig's company. He told me there isn't any performance gains with the cool duals, but they sure look nice. My exhaust is going on Friday afternoon. Yeehaa! JJ :)

Depends on the sound you want. I have a straight piped aftermakret exhaust and I LOVE it

Have A 04.5 Lly And Was Considering Some Type Of Aftermarket Exhaust System To Eliminate The Cat, Banks For Example Or Just A Pipe To Replace The Cat, But Don't Want To Have To Worry With Setting Codes. Am I Ok As Long As I Have Back Pressure From A Muffler? Would Appreciate An Info.

robertleeii,
JJs DuMax is right no real performance gian just a neat look and smoke from both sides, you'll be surprised at the looks you get with duals, especially from rice rockets!!!!
BROADZ,
If you want to to "offroad/racing stuff" and just eliminate the cat we have the front pipes for that, they have a 4 bolt flange and just bolt on to the rest of your stock system.
TheMonkey,
If you pull the cat and the muffler off of an LLY the check engien light will illuminate in response to the EGR system. The EGR is expecting "X" backpressure at idle, if you remove it the light goes on. There is a member here called Fingers that has a small electrical fix for that though if you want to invest $20.00 to get it from him. Look for him in the threads or ask about him.

Does any one have any picks of the duals on a truck (mainly drw trucks)

Mark Craig,
Will I Have An Issue With The Service Engine Light By Just Replacing The Cat With A Down Pipe?
