anyone know of a good parts supplier I can order an 06 van hood from? I can find them online but I'm afraid their cheap and wont fit. Local junk yard has a slighty damaged one, but they are 45 minutes away, don't want to make a special trip to look...

Look at www.car-part.com (http://www.car-part.com) and see whats out there or buy one at the dealer and have it painted

OK, since noone is asking I'll tell.
You seen the suncoast hood for the trucks with functional exhaust vents. I was thinking about taking a hood to a body shop and seeing if they could make one for the van. Any thoughts?

I have not seen anything about the suncoast hood. Is it cowl induction?

They are a vendor here. they make true ram air hoods with optional heat extractors for the silverado and other trucks. It looks like they are vents for the heat to exit the engine compartment. I was thinking of having a body shop raise the center portion of the express van hood a couple of inches or more so it could vent hot air out. Or maybe it would backfire on me and instead of the fresh air coming in and down past the engine it would only cool the upper? Not real sure, just looking for ideas/input before I go buy a hood

Cowl induction works if its set up to feed air into the air box. As far as air vent's, maybe a air vent in the fender on the side to help air excape the engine compartment will help with cooling.
