Ive got a full blown ATs upgrade with copilot and TC. It seems like that it like lag inbetween the shifts if Im really light with the pedal but it seems to shift really nice for the most part when nailing it. Makes no sense why it sometimes does this and another thing....I usually have to run in tow haul b.c if not sometimes it will seem like it wants to shift through all the gears too fast and once it gets to like 4th and it realizes its there...it will then shift back down and back and forth like it can't make its mind up. Something isn't quite right but when flat out nailing it for the most part it will shift really nice but not even as hard as some ATS equiped trucks as I have ridden in even when firmness is set the highest and everthing. Someone said to adjust TV cable on it but any ideas on any of this but I want this baby is shift hard if I turn her up on some power with the stack Ive thrown at it.

allison dosnt have a TV cable. IMO call ATS and talk to them. Is this happening when you have what tune loaded? Have you done a relearn on the trans and is it trained yet? How many miles have you had the trans? It does shift different when you change levels on the co pilot and if its on or off?

Hell who knows...lol...Mike at ats said to adjust the Tv cable. It seems like everyonce in a while it will shift really hard...like I want then im throwin some juice at it when Ive got the firmness turned up and the secondary turned down and TC locked. That combo is suppose to make it the hardest shift...and I have left it on that for a while and doesn't seem to shift hard at all.

A TV cable like what is on a 700 or 200? They didnt mean something else? I would talk to a different tech becasue any one thats telling you to adjust a TV cable on an allison dont know what they are talking about. Unless he ment something else than what i am thinking? Eric? Mike? Someone with 1/2 a clue?

You do have an allison right?):h

The allison is full fly by wire the only cable is for the shifter.

I had something similar happen it started getting soft and I caaled and spoke w/Clint at ATS. I guess the problem is that the trans is always learning and with the co-pilot all the way all the time the TCM starts backing down all the shift pressure. So the easy fix for it was to reset the taps. If you get a chance 6.6 Dmax P.M. me and I will call you to explain what has worked best for me.

Like Bowtie said, if your running the co-pilot all the time, the TCM will learn it and compensate. Its best to only run that when you wanna make a kill etc. I would get the taps reset across the board and start fresh. Also, try not to switch up and down on your power levels as that just makes things worse.
