Got an 07 classic 2500hd and need some info. I have it narrowed down to Banks Six gun, Ppe Hot+2, and Edge juice/attiude. Now I have heard the six gun and edge can be run all day at the top settings without damage(stock alli), but what about the ppe? What level on the ppe would be equal to the banks and edge? Between the edge and banks, which one is putting down more power? Thanks for any help, and I do understand I can't tow at these levels.

Dont know how soon you need one, but I'm putting my 07 classic on a dyno on the 25th. Hoping to run it with banks w/o meth, and again with banks and meth. I'll post the results whatever they are. I do know banks is claiming up to 140 horse increase over stock on our lbz, with recommended intake and exhaust improvements, which I have. Don't know if that includes their intercooler, which I don't have.

If you are after more power and it sounds like you are after big power, why don't you step up to the plate and get EFI LIVE that is the cheapest BIG ASS BANG!!!!!!!!! For you D-max.

Of the three, the PPE HOT+2 is my personal favorite. It is a programmer so you wont have the adjustability on the fly, but that is not really a big deal unless you think you cant live without it. Edge and Banks both offer very nice, safe products, but I wouldnt run them cranked all the time. The PPE unit has quite a bit more power than both others, but Im not sure which one is the second strongest. I think it would be pretty close. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

I've had all three and am currently running PPE...No way to run it on high for any period of time for the simple reason I don't have enough upgrades.The other two were both replaced.Enough said

i run my ppe on level 3 all the time it gives me the best mpg in town i easin to the throttle it shifts fine no slip unless i get on it hard my tranny is stock but im still under warranty. my cousin has the banks six gun and he loves it he just had it dynoed this weekend hes getting 424rwhp on level 7

Does your cousin have any other mods? Which engine does he have the 6gun on? Did he modify any of the settings on the SL level (7)? Just wondering, because I'm putting mine on the dyno soon.

have you looked into the ats e-power tuner ? basically the same thing as ppe hot + 2 just re defined tuning.. way smooth power.. i think its cheaper than that ppe one as well.

geez, i've had my banks on for 90,000+ miles and it hasn't tore up my stock tranny

I have a built tranny and the supporting mods needed to run level 6, about 500 rwhp, but I run level 3 for fuel mileage. Level 6 is insane but level 3 is no slouch.

Probably true about edge & banks both have enough power to tear up the tranny. Safety features will help, but will not prevent if you are hard enough on it. If I guy is driving in the higher settings & controls his right foot he will be fine. If you hammer on the stock settings all the time you will to fry the tranny too.

i mostly run level 3 it seems to do good on stock tranny but like i said i still have warranty

I'm running it on the dyno on the 25th of htis month. I am going to post what the results are. See if all the power claims hold up.

It all depends on the driver. Most aggressive = PPE, then Edge, then Banks. If you drive it hard enough with any of the three you can hurt the transmission.

I started out with a banks, outgrew it because of sled pulling/sand drag, the banks is nice because of the on the fly adjustability, before I got rid of it I was running it on speed-loader(level seven) with all the parameters at max, (no defuel between shifts,etc) I felt it was about what my level PPE is on level 4, I think the banks is really good for everyday performance use, but it is limited.
