Hi guys,
So I hooked up the wire next to the underhood fuse panel. Fuse was already there and test light says there is 12v power at the post but I am getting nothing at the rear trailer plug. Am I missing something?

Wrong wire. It's the one under the master cylinder. You hooked up the aftermarket trailer brake wire.

x2 i believe its a re/black wire with a eyelet already on it, it taped up on the loom under master cylinder.

I had the same issue. I found it was a problem in the plug at the bumper. After a bunch of ##@@5$$ I got it working but will replace the outlet soon!!!

make sure the fuse you are looking at is a real fuse and not the plastic dummy also

Hook up the correct wire and you will have power. The fuse is already installed in the LMMs.

wow!!! I have been trying to figure this one out for weeks. I to had the rong wire hooked up, even the steeler ship couldent figure it out. If chevy would would just tell you the wire under the master cylinder somany people would not be asking the same question. There must be at least two dozen people asking this same question. What is the other wire for the one marked 12v aftermarket trailer power?

Power source for the wires under the dash to hook up an aftermarket trailer brake controller (yes the wires are really under there :))
