Well, thanks to Tim and Howard, I have the GM supplier # to use. It's going to save me alot of $$$$ w/o "haggling".

I'm going in today to test drive an SLE that the dealer has "tricked out" (35" BFG's, 6" RCD lift, billet grill, Banks exhaust)....then I'm going to drive an SLT that they are bringing in from their evil-sister partner/dealer.

I basically have to decide if I want to spend the extra $5K for all the extra SLT stuff or not. I know I like the looks of the leather but I'm not sure how much I really want it.....

Anybody have any ideas on what to pay attention for on the test drive for these trucks? Thanks....

What you pay attention to depends on your main reason for buying the truck. I take my Yellow Lab everywhere so leather was important to me ( the only place hair gets stuck is on the back of the back seat ). Also, important to me is noise. I tow a 5ver so the high torque is a must. As far as between the two trucks I would consider how each one handles the road, that is if you plan on staying on the road.

Get only what you are able to comfortably afford. Seen several post here where guys overextended are are turning their vehicles in. After several years the truck will be old hat but the monthlys go on and on. Just be prudent in the finances area.
