Without restricting where the airflow comes from won't it follow the path of least resistance, in your case from the engine area. That hotter air might impair rather than enhance your performance somewhat. :o: This is techie stuff so I'm just posing the question for other knowledgeable guys to ponder. :rolleyes: I do like the price though! Seemed stupid to me since it was still pulling in from the engine compartment. You are right about hotter air coming in, it will affect it some but now that it can breath i think the effect will be more positive than negative if only a tiny bit. Like i said the turbo does spool faster with the setup and gives a little more boost (1 or 2 lbs).
