: cab clearance lights installed
haneym 03-15-2005, 08:15 AM first, i would like to thank topdog for his "how to". without that, i never would have had the balls to drill holes in my roof! anywho, here are a couple pics of my weekend project.
also, FYI - the light kit cabelas sells for $59 is in fact the "pacer hi-five" kit.
the installation was extremely easy, i just spent forever measuring and remeasuring 50 times before i drilled into my truck! haha.
dmaxalliTech 03-15-2005, 09:08 AM Looks nice, good job, but I did notice that your outside lights are reversed. You have the pass side and driver side light mixed up....
I may be the only one to notice, so I wouldnt worry too much...
Scott C 03-15-2005, 10:05 AM where did you order the kit, and how much?
ssduramax 03-15-2005, 10:44 AM Looks awsome, i have it in the plans as well.
where did you get the measurments for the allignment?

haneym 03-15-2005, 03:48 PM scottc - i bought mine from cabelas for $59. go to www.cabelas.com and click the automotive category on the left
ssduramax - i used topdog's (member here) how to as a go by. i placed my driver and passenger individual ones 4.25" from the windshield gasket and the door gasket. the front one is centered on the roof obviously and i think 3 1/8" from the windshield.
dmaxallitech - LOL! nice one.
WOJO 1 03-15-2005, 09:08 PM I did not like the look of the middle single section so I opted for individual lights.http://image38.webshots.com/39/0/25/4/296702504SDqmgo_ph.jpg
ssduramax 03-16-2005, 12:09 AM thanks for the info and the pics Haneym
haneym 03-16-2005, 09:06 AM i also installed the rear LED bar under the tailgate but camera batteries died before i could get a picture. that was real easy and looks real good!
Jeff@SGLC 03-16-2005, 09:31 AM I only see them listed for $69.00 on Cabela's site as well as anywhere else.
Recon2005 03-17-2005, 11:40 PM Looks nice, but Clear Cab lights would have looked much much better. Just my opinion
BARON33 03-18-2005, 10:08 PM In South Craolina you must have Amber Lights not clear.
Recon2005 03-21-2005, 11:24 PM Hi,
That is not true. You can have clear lenses, as long as you have amber colored bulbs. The clear cab roof lights are SAE and DOT approved in all 50 states. Some states require amber bulbs. There are approx 18 states that require amber bulbs.
coyotekid 03-21-2005, 11:34 PM Recon,
Do you have any plans to make the individual "old style" lights in smoked? I've been able to find the style shown in this post in smoked, but I'd like the 5 individual lights spaced 1...2.3.4...5
haneym 03-22-2005, 08:26 AM Looks nice, but Clear Cab lights would have looked much much better. Just my opinion
im sure you do. if i was trying to sell them im sure i would too -:t
