Country Coach,

I know it is a long time overdue, but I finally got one. With my thesis coming to an end and the number of projects I have diminishing I was finally able to get home before dark since the days are getting longer. It didn't come out very well though because my brother in-law sucks at taking pics and then the batteries ran out after a few pics in the digital camera. However, I will try to get more tomorrow or this weekend with someone better in control of the camera. (And I will try to get you some more smoke...;) ) Also, do not mind the dirty truck. I washed it at the beginning of last week, but it snowed either Thurs of Fri and now it is covered in salt again. Talk to you later.

PS, I hope the pic shows, the gm-diesel website is having some problems attaching even the re-sized pic.

Please more pics, especially of the stacks! Very jealous. Are they semi stacks you retrofitted somehow? What kind of numbers are you posting? I would love to stop by and see/race it sometime and check out your mods. I am always going from Sault Ste. Marie to Detroit to Indianapolis. :offtopic: Anyways, very nice. Hope to see some non-in-law pictures soon.

Dan

dkubek,
I saw your pm, my truck is nothing special, so it should be performing close to yours it looks like. I will try to get you some more pics asap.

If you want to know more about the construction I have included a thread on a website that I frequent. The thread shows the general consruction that a lot of guys that a lot of people are using because it is easier to set up and about half the price.

Buy some stacks off ebay or somewhere for cheap, most of them are new too. I got mine for 60 plus shipping. Then buy a piece of square or rectangular tubing to use as a crossbox. I built mine over a year ago and though 5x5 in would be good for 5 in stacks, but people have refined the design and 4x6 in works the best so you have plenty of room to mount the 5in stacks. Then mount the crossbox and run your exhaust pipe up to it through the bed. Since the stacks mounted rigidly, you need to make sure you use some flexpipe somewhere in the pipe running to the crossover.

Looks good, now how to get a similar setup on a Tahoe w/cargo doors):h . I've had some ideas each as unprobable as the last.
