Hi - brand new owner of a '98 Suburban here. The vehicle came with neither and owner's manual or the diesel supplement. Dutifully using the search feature as directed in the newbie guide ;), I came across the following link in previous threads:

https://www.mygmlink.com/main/US/en/gm/home

Problem is it doesn't seem to work for me. Has the site moved? Is it just down? Are there other locations to download the manual and supplement?

Thanks!

Well, answered my own question - going to mygmlink.com (non-secure site) now redirects you to http://www.gm.com/gmownercenter/, which has apparently replaced the old site. There is a link to buy the owner's manual and diesel supplement, but no downloads. I may end up doing that, but if anyone has a link to another free .pdf file, it would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Helm Inc (http://www.helminc.com/helm/homepage.asp?r=http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=helm+inc&meta=) is where I got my suppliment, as well as my FSM

When I bought my truck (used) the salesman just looked around at the dealership and found an extra copy of the supplement. It might be worth asking at your local dealers if and when you get some work done.

have you entered you vin? I don't remember, but i thin that on the new site we can download the owners manual. the vin is entered on that vehicle profile too. IDK if it might be related. Check it out!:D

Thanks for the welcome!

I did look through the FAQ's and it seems like I can get all the questions that the manuals would answer either there or by using "search". I'd like to have the manuals for reference though...

I entered my VIN at the new site, and though it hints that the manuals should be there, the only thing I find is a link to Helm to buy them. Since they throw on a $16 shipping and handling fee, I think I'll call the dealer first...

Loving the 6.5 so far - got better mileage than my wife's Mazda minivan just driving around town! :thumb:

Search the manuals and literature section on e-bay for one, may have to buy a Pickup one just to get the supplement
