It's sounds like a nice truck but "3 73 Rear Axel Ratio (Hard To Find On a 3500) " is BS. All 2500 and 3500 D/A's have 3.73 RAR. Not sure about the price but I love the D/A. The '06 LBZ is basically the same engine I have without the emission crap. Very strong.

3:73 Rear Axel Ratio (Hard To Find On a 3500)As said above, 3:73 is standard with the diesel motor (NOT hard to find).
4 Matching LT215/85R/16 Good Year Wrangler Tires Are In Good Condition,What about the other 2 tires?

I think the price is a little high for a two year old diesel truck when fuel prices are where they are right now. Seems like a better deal could be struck.

Just my 2 cents.

:exactly:..........with today's sobering news about GM on the verge of bankruptsy, why not look around for a deal on a BRAND NEW dually????. With the current state of the economy, there are some great deals out there now that wouldn't be much more than your quoted used price.

thank you for the information

I did think the price was a little high.

I just do not have any experience with the chevys.

I am not a fan of the brand new trucks nor am i a wheeler dealer when it comes to buying new.

I have read on here that the 2006 duramax allison combination was the best product out there the new ones have all that re gen and pollution stuff on them

I have been focusing my search on the 2006 Chevy / GMC duramax allison combination

I have talked to 3 people in the last 4 weeks who own the 2006 3500 d max allison have over 90000 miles on them and the love them with 0 problems other than sched maintenance.

Please remember that I am stepping out of my comfort zone I am a shipboard engineer and a cummins enthusiast I am trying to think outside the box the chevy D max has a lot to offer I only buy a truck every 10 years or so it is time now, so this is long term investment for me. I just research everything to death.

thanks for the input and keep it coming.

I paid 21k for my 06 LT3 with the LBZ just three weeks ago, granted it had 71k and it is 2wd

That price seems high in my area. The discount is good on the new Dmax now. Saw 08 3500 DMax 1LT 4X4 for 35,900. I know your looking at LBZ but I would shop a little more.

I just bought an identical truck with 49k for 25,600. The price isn't clear out of line as I did look at new and equipped the same sticker was 54k.

I have the LT2 package, mine did not come with the TV, leather seats, running boards and bed liner. but has everything else you listed. I bought mine new 2 years ago for $40,000.00 exactly, that was including TT&L. I don't regret for a second buying it.

I HATE it when somebody says something is "hard to find" and it's not! It's my pet peeve! Just today I saw on EBay..."1998 Chevrolet Silverado LS 4x4 3500 1 Ton Regular Cab 6.5L Turbo Diesel w/ a rare Stick Shift 5 Speed Manual!" It's just WRONG!

Gotta agree with St. Pete and Rosey. I am hearing unbelievable deals on brand new trucks. Auction numberson used, super low also. I think there are alot of guys bailing out of diesel's if they don't need em. i still need to tow alot so I don't have much choice. The upside is they are great trucks and tow better than anyhting I have ever owned.
Find yourself a deal and enjoy.
