FOLKS, ANY IDEA WHY 3RD GEAR WON'T MESH ON A 91 DODGE 1TON 5SP AT
NORMAL 25MPH UP SPEEDS. CLUTCH WAS CHECKED - OKAY, NEW TRANS FLUID
ANF ALL OTHER GEARS WORK GREAT. TRUCK HAS 136,000 ON IT. ARE THERE ANY ADJUSTMENTS FROM THE TOP WITHOUT PULLING THE TRANS OUT OF THE TRUCK?:help:

Just a thought -- but often when troubleshooting I look for "what has changed"... Did the new trans fluid get changed just before? I've heard they're picky about using the dealer spec'd stuff. FYI.

Don't know if it helps but at 150K I went ahead and had my 5spd overhauled with new syncros and bearings. I had to do this after I lost 5th. Once I got the tranny out and opened up I found that the lock nut that holds 5th in place had backed off, thus allowing 5th gear to slid forward.
