I'm going to buy a new truck. Now, I only pull a 24' cattle trailer and 24' flat bed both gooseneck, occasionally. Maybe on average once per month. Would like to get a fifth wheel camper 24 to 30' one day. Do I need the diesel or can I save the money and go with the 6.0? The weight of the trailers will differ depending on how many cows and or calfs I have loaded and the most weight on the flat bed would be around 14000lbs. Price of the truck- 35500.00 for the gas or 40500.00 for the diesel, (gms price). Any advice? Wife says gas I say diesel :help2:

Look at the resale value of the 2 down the road when you intend to sell it. The diesel will likely be worth a good part of the 5k more plus you get to enjoy the power and fuel economy in the mean while!
