looking for referances on this company, if you have had dealings with them please PM me? I would prefer to know who I am dealing with before I put my money out. not much of a risk taker? http://gm-diesel.com/diesel/vbull/ubb/redface.gif

Let me put it this way, the Pump rebuilder likes them because it gives them more job than they can handle.

There have been several mentions of this company inthe past... most aren't good.

From what I recall, they have cheap prices on rebuilt engines, but shipping, quality control, warranty, etc are all very suspect.

I have heard that their customer service AFTER you buy something is horrible.

Do a search :)

Sorry but I don't remember specific users and I don't know anyone "personally" that has bought anything through them

Umm....if people have had less then satisfactory results after dealing with them, why are you so concerned about actual references?

I see that you have only posted a few times on here...just a word of advice, most everyone on this site knows their sh*t for the most part. If I come here and mention a vendor and ask if they are OK to deal with, I would trust what the members day.

Why even risk losing your money?

Seems rather foolish to me. But that's just my opinion.

Thats it in a nutshell. Several people have stated they have heard poor things about this vendor. None have responded positively. For me that would be enough.

Regardless, I am new to this site but I have conversed with Jifaire on other diesel related forums in the past and have received good advise before. I'm sure others are as 6.5 wise but again I'm still meeting people.

Ok, here is my personal experience. I'll try to keep it short and if you want more detail let me know and I can PM.

I bought a 2T Int dump last year as a project to rebuild the stuck 6.9. As mentioned above I found that DD had the cheapest prices on the full kit along with some other misc things I wanted to replace. The "sales service" was great (keep reading though), I talked to Chris there and he spent 15-20 min with me talking about what I need and what options I had. THAT IS WHERE IT ENDS!!!!!!!!!!

So I plunk down about a grand and wait. Mind you I'm in NC and he's in FL so 3 day normal 4 day MAX on getting it to me from when he SAID he's ship.

About 6 days later I called to check up. He indicated that Clevite was having computer issues and he'd check and call me back, never did.

Jump ahead a few days and a few calls and I ended up calling Clevite direct to check on my order. The guys at clevite let me in on the secret that Chris didn't pay his bill for the month yet and he was CUT OFF. They did however say he was supposed to pay that day and they would let me know.

Next day Clevite calls back and says they talked to Chris and they are on the way. I had ordered a FULL rebuild kit, freeze plugs, a rod, glow plugs etc. The only thing that shows up is the piston kit AND IT'S FOR A 7.3!!!

I call Chris and he "can't believe that" and says he'll straighten it out and call me back.

Skip ahead another weeks worth of phone calls and no calls back and I call Clevite again for help. Thankfully they step in again and put some pressure on him and I get my stuff, ALMOST correct. He ended up sending 2 freeze plug kits and NO ROD. So for the 40 bucks or so I just went to the local ford stealership and bought a rod for 50 bucks.

So a 3-4 day shipping deal turned into 4 (YES FOUR) WEEKS of trying to get my $1000 worth of parts.

DON'T DO IT is all I can say, unless you don't care when you get your parts or what parts you actually get.

If you want their company info, the FL buis doc numbers, phone numbers almost anything let me know, I have it :-)

Also if you want great up front and great after the sale service contact T.H. Evans Enterprises in Athens, GA. I got all my valve train parts from them (after DD fiasco) and they were great. I have all contact info for them also but don't know if it's appropriate to post here.

I was about to do business with them, but then they decided to not answer my phone calls.

I ended up getting 18:1 pistons from Penninsular and getting the SCAT crank directly from SCAT.

Not worth the risk! I'm going with people who can be trusted to get my parts from now!
