I recently had my torsion bars cranked to almost level(.5-.75 from level). Now for some reason les schwab can't get the steering wheel straight. They are telling my that my toe adjustments are maxed out (left front wheel can't be adjusted anymore). I have had them do it twice and the second time turned out worse. Have any of you had this problem before? I am going to take it to the dealer and have them try.

BTY...I have had green keys in before and it was perfectly aligned.

Does the truck have to be leveled to use the cognito alignment spec? I think that might be the problem.

What is the space between the UCA and frame stop?

Is the ball joint installed from the top down or bottom up?

-ball joint mounted on the bottom.

-3/4+ between uca and stop.

jack up one side so you have one wheel off the ground and one on the ground. now turn the one off the ground.does it flop all over the place while the one on the ground doesen't move ? if it does you will never get it lined up.

centering the wheel is a simple left to right adjustment. If the wheel is to the left turn both tie rods up the same amount if its to the right turn them both down the same amount. I sometimes have to do this to perfectly center the wheel. If you have to turn them more than 1/2 turn take the truck somewhere else because part of an allignment is setting the steer ahead which centers the steering wheel. I have never had a tie rod maxed out on adjustment.

what if the pitman and idler are shot and the wheels are floping all over the place. on my truck I have about 3" of play when you tug on the wheel, had it to the steeler and they say it is normal,in fact they even passed it for pa state inspection. it is an 07 with 20k miles and they won't fix it under warrenty because they say it is nornal .i told them it is normal but not right. if i made changes and it needed it lined up i dont think it could be done.

better check for play in the steering or you may never get it lined up

True you need to fix the steering before any allignment can be done
