Hi, I've got a 94 Yukon in Wisconsin and the Diesel lines along the frame are leaking. I ordered a new pickup and gasket, but what is the best way to connect it to the new fuel line. The rubber and steel lines look bad too. Just slip some rubber fuel line over it and NOT use the fittings or what ? Thanks !

The lines are still available from GM, but to replace all the lines between the tank and the injection pump is around $678 at list price (w/o tax). You can buy them individually of course and replace as little as possible; I had to replace the inj. pump-to-lift pump lines on my Sub a few weeks ago.

There are a few stainless steel companies that sell fuel lines. Their names escape me right now, you'll have to google them.

One after-market co that I do remember the name is LMCtruck dot com.

Hope this helps,

I don't know about spending that much $$ on a 15 year old truck, with 210K . It's in very good shape but...

How about some new steel line, bend to fit, with some hose barb fittings on the ends with fuel hose and clamps ? It's only 5 pounds or so, correct ? Anyone do this with positive results ?? Any input ?

If you look at the LP fittings, its a little more than just brake line with unions. though that would probably work. if you go with the hose deal, make sure it will stand up to Bio diesel, cause whether you know it or not, your gettin some. At least in Chicago land, its not law to say if bio has been added or not.

I used rubber hose on my 91. The stealer wanted $300 for new lines that would rust just the same as original. I reused about 3in of the old line and put a bump in it with the double flair tool. I double clamped all the connections. It was never a problem after that. I did smear chassic grease on the steel parts to prevent further rust. Less than $10 fix
