We have a truck here that seems to ride sorta rough. If you go over a major bump in the rode you can almost feel it in the steering wheel. Could it be something with the shocks? The truck only has 15k miles and when we got it, it had huge mud tires and the t bars were maxed out. We put on stock tires and lowered the t bars and it rides smoother but still doesn't seem quite normal. How can you tell if the shocks r bad? Would appreciate any advice,

Its either the intermediate steering shaft under the hood or the steering column bearing under the dash.. I have had both replaced and it lasts about 10,000 miles or so and then starts to rattle again.. Its a very common thing on these trucks...

X2... ITS EITHER THAT OR THE IDLER AND PITMAN ARM WHEN I ROLLED MY T-BARS ALL THE WAY ON MY 03 THOSE PARTS WENT BAD SHORTLY AFTER. JUST ANOTHER OPTION TO THINK ABOUT IF THE STEERING IS SOUND.

would the IDLER AND PITMAN ARM have something to do with the front suspension? The truck just mainly rides rough?

I noticed the rubber stops are touching the LCA when truck is parked. Does that make a rougher ride?

Can you give yourself about 1/4" between the rubber stop and the LCA? Crank them back up a bit and try it.

How much room is between the UCA and the stop?

There is plenty of room between the uca and the stop, at least 3/4 inch. The truck will sit pretty high if I have a 1/4 inch between the rubber and LCA but I can try it and c how it looks.

It shouldn't. The rubber stops are supposed to touch the LCA because they help dampen the suspension. Does your suspension bottom out or bounce when you hit a bump?
