This last weekend the group headed up to sand mountain, on I-50 i tried to set the cruse control at 120mph:D but would not engage until about 98 or so, And I Had the 90hp tune in and speed limiter set at 130mph at the time. Is there anyway to be able set it at a higher speed??? not that i need to, just wondering if its possible?? Thanks

theres a limiting table in the ECM. You can fix it with efilive I think.

Can you be more specific? I have been searching the tables and have found nothing to thats got to do with the CC. Can it be done with a Tec2?

After asking Ross about this (he spat coffee all over his desk), he does recall adding a specific parameter for LB7 and LLY. He'll take a look for LBZ in the next few weeks.

Cheers

Lol, hope he didnt burn himself with the coffee!!! I know its sounds dumb as hell to want to set cruse at 120 but i promise I-50 (middle of the dam desert) is the best possible place to do it. looks like ill be getting EFI LIVE sooner than i thot :ro) Keep me posted!

Thanks
Chris

Just curious what is the speed rating of your tires? I'm not judging you for wanting to go that fast just trying to bring to light the dangers of over driving your equipment. 7000 lbs + 120 mph + tire failure = your 15 mins of fame on the news and possibly a finalist for the Darwin award.

Aren't the stock tires rated at 85mph? Are all E rated truck tires rated at this speed?

Only 130?
:lol2:yeah only 130 :o: 6th gear is a big jump in ratio from 5th ( as you know; in the vette too ) got getter up round 3500-3800rpm in 6th to really feel the power come round. i figure speed at that rpm is round 165-170. not too many places round here to really open 'er up good like that thou:HiHi:
