So I recived my GALAXY DX98VHP today (thanks RENODMAX), dead keys 50 and swings 100 on AM, swings 200 on SSB. Also I would like to thank step-a-side for posting pics of his install in his garage.
I ran 8 gauge wire both + and - direct to the battery and mini-8 coax
through the main wire harness gromet in the firewall. I am using a Willson trucker 2000 antena mouted with a stake bed mount, 25 feet of coax.
Ok now for the good stuf, with the power on high, when I key up I get about 3 codes ~MAP sen, fuel sen. Control mod.~ I can clear with my banks. So no biggie, and I just keep the power on med. and all is good.
So I guess the sweet 1600 is out.
Anybody else have any problems like this. Ideas, comments.

Glad the pics helped out.

As for codes, no problem here although I am always on 'low'. I also ran 8 gauge wire from the battery but I ran the coax out through the e-brake grommet. My + lead runs through a relay for control purposes.
