I usually only run my edge on level 1. I do play with it and run in the higher levels. My question is about the low boost fuel setting (i think thats what it is) 1-5. what does it do and is it safe to run it on five? i see it say most responsive at that level, but was curious if it was bad for my dmax...

Run it in level 5 low fuel boosting if you like it. It will just bring EGT's up quicker, maybe dirty your oil a bit sooner and might hurt milage a miniscule amount. Oh....and it will make it smoke more when you romp on it, weather that is good or bad is a matter of oppinion.
I try not to bounce around powerlevels, all that confuses the alli, one setting for towing or loaded and one for DD IMO.

I run mine in the highest setting all the time. Mine is programmed however so when I hit the T/H button I am only in the #2 level. This was the recommended setting from the manufacture which I called before setting mine. It probably is not good for the Allison to keep switching it but, I can't swear to that, I am no Tech.
