just bought my dmax. wondering what kinda mileage i should get on her befor any major problems. drive 250 hwy and 30 gravel daily. have 107 k already.
just wondering cause my 03 ram 3500 needed entire front end, injectors and lift pump befor 200k, but after warranty, of course.
also, my tranny temp is usually around 90 in town, seems a little high.
thanks

Alot depends on how you take care of it. If you drive it nice and keep clean oil in it you should be able to go for a long time 300 plus. I think the 03's have injector warranty until 200k?? I am sure someone on here wil chime in on that...

Yeah my piss is at least 98 degrees, so 90 degrees is nothing. my truck usually runs around 160 to 170 on the highway. The chevys are pretty good with not many major problems like you would get with your dodge. Run her hard and have fun. You will really wish you bought one sooner.

He is talking about 90C which is not out of line in town my gets warm as well. You will have more problems with front end parts then the engine/tranny etc. I have had an 05 and now an 06lbz with no major issues but the front end seems to be the weak link at least for me. Run top of the line oils in every hole and you will have no trouble for a long time.

Ahh, i missed that he lives in alberta. My bad. Then 90 c. would be normal.

yeah sorry. 90 C. front end probs ok. plan on lift this spring so should be ok? regardless, no injectors or lp. dunno much about chev. heard there was suction pump, not lp. whats the difference. had fass lp with my dodge and now have extra 90/150 filters but no pump. liked how dodge ran with fass, could i, should i reinstall fass lp with this new set up?

Start saving now. You'll accumulate enough cash to buy the next one outright before you wear yours out.

Wouldn't any truck need a new front end @ 200K miles? I would certainly expect to do ball joints and all of the steering linkage. The differential should last though.

You'd think. But mine is sitting at 110k and is as tight as a drum (where's some wood I can knock on???)...
