Would it be okay to use buttsplice connection on all the wires? The directions say not to cut the wires, what would happen if you do accidentally cut them?

If you accidentally cut them you repair them. I highly recommend against any quick connectors. They are prone to failure especially under the hood.

the butt splices gave me trouble. i would solder them. that is what i had to do. the butt splice made intermittent connections. once i soldered everything, all codes cleared.

Did your check engine light come on, or did it just throw codes?

Just got back home, sorry I didn't respond right away.

It sounds like a connection, but I think it may be at the connector into the MAF.

Fingers: I hope I am posting this message in the right place. I need some help, installed stick approx 2 weeks ago, 1500 miles with soldered connections. No problems till today, check engine light has come on four times. Codes P0101 and P0103 have been thrown twice each with engine light. Any suggestions?

Thank You,
Woodman

I am working on a similar problem with another installation. Uninstall the stick and send it back to me. I will replace it or refund your money. Your choice. I need to track down what is happening.

Thank you for your quick response. I plan on removing the stick this weekend for a replacement. I really like the way my truck was running. I hate to go back to the old system. I think you have a great product, thanks to your electrical talent.
