Has anyone used the hypertech and the predator programmers on their lly? Right now I have the hypertech w/ the predator on the way.

I was under the impression you could stack programmer with plug in module. But not two programmers. Since you download stock tune on programmer and upload hp tune. If you have hp tune from hypertech on truck predator will not be able to find stock tune. Wheras the module will take tune installed on ecm and change the paramaters according to your setting. I could be wrong about this, but this is why i installed edge first for gauges and engine/tranny safety, then added predator.

this stack runs smooth and powerful. Its hard to imagine running both on high settings.

I quess I should have stated it different. Sorry. I was wanting to get some opinions on the hypertech vs. predator. I read some older threads and just wanted to update the question.

the predator is definitely better in all areas, you cant stack the 2, so go with the predator - just dont fry your tranny !!!

I run a hypertech and have no problems with it and the power is good. I did, however have the edge juice and had way too many problems and through it into a fire. Ok, actually, I sold it. It was the 3rd one that Edge sent me. I wanted nothing to do with it. I would be interested in getting a predator but I would need to find someone to buy my hypertech. And what are the h.p. plus tq #'s with the predator? And will there be a noticable difference? I do not want to fry my tranny and do not wish to upgrade it. Any mod is good as long as the wife dosent know about it.
