Any one running the IPD Rear Anti-Sway Bar? My Hellwig dropped the right side frame clamp for which I'm not too happy! Dealer had to r/r the unit to service the rear diff at 30,000. Don't know if the clamp was over torqued or what. Not planning to keep Hellwig!

I'd like to know more and will likely drive into Portland and look at their set-up. I do like simplicity of design but would like to find someone running one before laying out any more $$$. Think I'll replace the clamp on the Hellwig and wait a bit. April 15 comming!

There is no rear sway bar on 2500hd pickups. Just aftermarket.Hellwigs end link designs are terribly. Tom Frederico has a good design but might not fit diesel trucks with 4"MBRP exhaust. But give him a call.He might be working on something new. Since this was posted. What I did was order a rear Hellwig bar for a 2000 Yukon xl 4wd 1500. Ordered Toms 2500hd-3500 rear bar. There both 1 1/4" dia.Used Toms sway bar bushings & hardware disregarding Toms upper frame brackets. Then I had a set of front lower shock mount brackets fabricated to use as the rear upper end link connecters. Drilling two holes through the frame to mount them. Reason for the Yukon bar ? Overall about 8" wider then the 2500 hd bar putting the end links directly under the frame. I have talked to Tom about this.He is awaiting my pics which I will post when I figure out how to.

Don't understand all the trouble with the Hellwig you guys are having, I have one on and I carry a 4500 lb camper (slide in) and it seems to be doing fine.

Chevy Dealer r&r the l/r side brackets and dropped the torison bar down to service the "pumpkin" @ 30k. I'm not confident the pinch bolt was torqued to 90# when replaced. May have used air drive and overtightened bolt??? Anyway, the bolt and frame bracket dropped somewhere along road. Called Helwig and they are UPS'ng a replacement no charge. Nice guys!

Don't like their mounting design as I do not believe it to be secure e'nuf for a HD truck. I'll live with it for a while and look at other designs.Thats all.

Their web site is pretty vague.........no pictures at all of their sway bar.
