I've heard DTT is using the stock OEM BW frictions in there Allisons in conjunction with there revolutionary custom C1/C2 pistons, and in the custom case Stage II tranny? Are they using the Transgo shift kit or one of their own design? I've purposely waited to upgrade my tranny to give the guys at DTT an opportunity to get into the Allison big picture.

Anyone presently running a DTT trans, please comment on it's performance. Thank you.

I Really enjoyed Stage1 Held over 500 HP with nary a whimper. BUT on disassembly c3 and c4 (which level 1 does not address ) were fried. The Trans gave no signs of limping either. C1 and C2 were in fine shape.

Stage 2 Has been equally enjoyable, but there is a harsh downshift which we are chasing down.(id i shift from D to 3 the problem goes away when slowing down) The tranny reflash is taking some of it out (My Truck never had a flash done before)
Weird thing is the LLY DMX in DTT's own truck does not experience this anomaly at all. (G Solenoid at work?)

DTT Single Disc Convertor is performing quite nicely.

Upshifts are unreal. Quick, Clean, and no sliiiip/gear engagement.
On my next trip to DTT we will be test fitting the LB7 TWINMAX Pipes to the truck in anticipation for release.

The Fluid in the trans is still RED! No burned smell or anything.

Other than the downshift being too aggressive, I quite like it.

Bill is quite confident that the issue is partly software and partly trim valve related (due to fill rate differences from stock pistons)

I can't wait for my next trip down!:ro)

I Just did the DTT stage I in Duramaxdiesel's 2001 two week ago & no problems with down shift. But didn't like the 2-3 up shift. After talking with Bill at DTT, I did two little tweaks. Nick is sooooo Haapppyyyyyy!!!!!!! Got him driving it on level 5 no defueling on shifts. Runs like a happy TH400 with a trans stage 2-3 shift kit.

See you later

Happy is an understatment!! I love being able to get the power to the ground. I have been beating the sh!t out of my DTT since I got it to see just what it will take to kill it. So far so good.
