is there any benefit to using an air dog / fass system on a nearly stock truck? i plan on keeping this truck a long time and want to keep it in top shape so i dont mind improving it for the long run. i have only the banks monster exhaust and only plan on getting a 6 gun tuner for now.

I have one. I wanted the better filtration and easier to get to filter changes. I can really stretch out those factory filters. I would assume that the better pressure wouldn't hurt when I'm taxing the system pulling the fifth wheel. I didn't specifically notice and increase in mileage beyond the better and better numbers I'm getting while I'm breaking in.

It will help a little bit with performance and like meteioned will extend fuel filter replacement. our trucks should come with them stock but dont

do they work in addition to the stock filter or do they replace it completely? i'm really thinking about that air dog and a oil bypass filter to keep her running good long term. i usually flip trucks every 2 yrs but im tired of taking those depreciation hits and figure the d max will last.

I just have to model 100. No issues, but I only run a level 2 on my PPE Tuner.

you would be fine w/ the 100 kit, the 150 kit is more designed for people running aggressive fueling tunes. i know, it's only $10 bucks more but it's another 30 min install, b/c you have to drill a hole in the tank, and you would have a hole in your tank...

oh and airdog all the way, much better company to deal w/ and the "no hassle" warranty is great.

Another vote for Airdog. The people at Pureflow are great to deal with and always more than happy to help. If youd like a quote on one, shoot me a PM.

Without a lift pump the CP3 has to pull the fuel from the tank, through the filter into itself. I recommend getting the feed pump with the filters as mentioned above. The feed pump will make sure the CP3 had the fuel there when needed and also filter the fuel better than the stock unit will. That will keep your injectors happy. We just had Bosch representatives at our shop and they said the main reason for all the Duramax injector failures is dirty fuel. Run extra filters, preferably 3 micron or less, and your injectors will last much longer. The factory filter is down stream and technically should not ever need to be changed if the filters on the lift pump are working properly. I would still change the factory filter once a year or every 25K for piece of mind.

Here is the one we sell and it has a lifetime warranty if you send in the registration card. http://www.hdiesel.com/productdetail.asp?ID=402

i think that a pump of any sort will help in cold weather. the chances of gelling up have to go way down when its being forced through a filter.

hey mark, if bosch says that the failed injectors are from dirty fuel, why do we see such a large amount of bad lb7 injectors and not as much of the lly/lbz?

do yall think if i loaded the ppe 225 hp tune with with a built tranny and whats in the sig. that a airdog 100 would be sufficient or would you go 150? tryin to stay away from drillin into the tank. thanks in advance.

You only need 150 GPH if you plan on being over 600 HP. In that power range you need rods. If you plan on building the engine then buy the 150.

have heard the 150 will overheat if you dont drill tank and add their P/U tube, 100 is good for 500-550 RWHP.

I am running the raptor 150 w/o the pick up tube and haven't had any problems

the raptor pumps don't include the draw straw anymore. i haven't heard of them overheating though. i had a friend run his AD150 for a while w/o the tube and zero problems.

I bought a FASS 95\95 last year from Hausdorff. I like the system but don't like the inconvenience of ordering filters. If I knew what I know now I would have bought the FASS with the 150 filters. That way I could go to the local parts house for a filter. If I buy a Air Dog 100 do I have to order filters.

its still cheaper to do your homework on the internet and order them online. they are a lot more expensive(at least at john deere)
