I need a little insight into whats going on underneath me.

Background information.
Stock transmission. diablo sport predator 120hp tune. custom hack job exhaust.
42000 miles.

I havent changed the transmission fluid and i have had it since it was brand new. (might need to be done:rolleyes:)

Here is what it is doing. With a pretty harsh acceleration as i shall call it. When it shifts its a hard shift but with a lighter foot it doesnt shift as hard.

Also it seems to slip from about 40mph to 55mph when i put it to the wood.

Anyone have any idea what might be going on?

You are over running the tranny with the 120Hp tune. Putting it back to stock is like putting a bandaid on a axe wound. Start saving for that tranny build as it will start to do it with the stock tune in it. Mine would slip bad with the PPE (on level 4 in 4 days) and take it off and oh it is all good but about a week later limp mode and tranny time!!!!

The only mod you can do on the cheap side is to put a TransGo Jr shift kit in. I suggest that you do this, put the power back to stock and save for a full trans-- don't mess with a Micky Mouse rebuild job, it will be just $$$ down the toilet! :D

TransGo Jr includes two trim valves with springs and balls-- and instructions for modifying the valve body separator plate. It will help the six speed, but it is not a fix-it kit. It will do very little for the 5 speed trans. :)
