Well, I got it today and wow. this thing is sweet bone stock. I dont think I'm going to modify it like some of you guys but I do want to do a cold air kit and eventually a exhaust. What brands of cold air intakes have any of you had experience with and what seems to work the best. I want a little more induction/ turbo noise and figured this will help. thanks for your time.

My suggestion would be to make a list of wants and research in this forum what brand and what sponsor to purchase it from
1. Oil Filtration, fuel filtration, fumoto valve, fuel filter bleeder valve, I put these first for durability and ease.
2. Differential fluids, Tranny fluid, engine oil, deep tranny pan, differential cover, also durability items.
3. Air Intake system
4. Exhaust system (factor in fingerstickand egr plate to eliminate fault codes)
5. High Idle mod. (this one is handy for cold weather, PTO, Jump starting fords)
6. Suspension mods, Bilstein shocks, stainless steel tie-rod sleeves, air bags, soft ride shackles
7. Dual Alternators for the High output sound systems or cool factor.
The above mods do not require the use of guages
8. Performance Programmer Edge is recommended highly because of on the fly settings and tranny/engine safeguards, and integrated guages with attitude. Predator is highly recommended because you can adjust top speed and speedometer error with larger tires..
9. guages
10. Tranny upgrades for the lead foot people.

I personally run afe stage 2 air filter system, Mbrp ss exhaust no cat, fingerstick with egr plate,
on the filters its amsoil dual bypass for oil and amsoil dahl water separator for fuel, Amsoil in both differentials and amsoil Torque-drive in ally with deep sump pan. I added dual alternators and wired for full time use for both. I also run the Edge/attitude and just purchased the predator for diagnostics,
I run the predator on 40 hp and the edge on setting 1. My egt never exceed 1300 and that is pulling a load up a hill.
anyway go to the sponsor page and put the sponsors website on your favorites and they will be at your fingertip. Out of all my mods only tires and edge were purchased from other than sponsors and they had the best price and service
Good luck
Joe

They dropped mine off last week. Last truck was a Ford F250 V10, the Chevy is so much nicer. Haven't towed my trailer with the DMAX yet, can't wait.

Will the CAT back exhaust systems for the LLY net as good results as the turbo back systems w/o the CAT?

Six months from now you can all look back at this thread when you said that you were going to keep your trucks "stock" It ain't gonna happen if you hang around here. Lol!

That's so true. I am starting to get the itch for a something like the predator and bigger exhaust.
