The key fob will not operate using any of the buttons. The battery is good and the spare key fob I never use is the same way. At the same time this happened the TPMS stopped working.
My theory is both of these systems use RF signals to the truck and what ever it is inside the truck isn't receiving them. So a trip to the dealer was in order.... grrr!
I found a dealer who would look at the truck without me having to put the stock exhaust back on... thank God. They hooked up a TECH 2 and could not find a trouble code for the TPMS or the key fob They did find two trouble codes for the exhaust but I knew they would.
I had not went in to a dealer to have the recall flash for the ECM done so the dealer offered to schedule me for the re-flash and their idea was the key fob and the TPMS would start working after they do it Wednesday. They are saying the Stealth II programmer was the cause of the trouble.
I find it hard to believe the Stealth II is the cause of the trouble but at this point I don't know what else to do.
