: Which Water / Meth Injection System?
dschref1 03-12-2005, 11:24 AM Well, I have successfully convinced myself that I must have a water injection system! Seriously, pulling a large 5thW loaded toy hauler over mountain passes during the summer pushes my EGT's higher than I want (of course slowing down it's an option!).
I'm going to go with a single stage kit which I can expand to a dual stage if I choose. I've found two kit's that seem good and a fair price of around $160(have to save some $ for the exhaust brake to slow all this down!). The kits are from...
www.enginerunup.com (http://www.enginerunup.com/)
www.coolingmist.com (http://www.coolingmist.com/)
There are several others that I've found but they seem to just resell kits and only the dual stage 'deluxe' ones for $350+.
Anyone use either? What do you use and are you happy with it? Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance

dschref1 03-12-2005, 11:40 AM I saw a reference in a thread to a SD system but couldn't find what it was. Thanks.

dschref1 03-12-2005, 11:51 AM Searching for "water injection" didn't return that thread (at least don't think it did). Thanks, I'll check it out.

I was aware the Super Diesel was a supporting vendor. I was more interesed in the other two and who would be the next supporting vendor, enginerunup or coolingmist.

 ............I know, but I would bet my nickers that neither will become a supporting vendor, all they are here to do is poke free advertizing on the forums which is against the rules of the forum.
But if they do, hey, I'd wish them nothing but good luck selling there stuff here. Although I don't think they would get much business with Super Diesels systems out there. They don't even offer the Pat. Pending Super Diesel Manifold to hook the system up too!!!! ):h ):h ):h

Super Diesel 04-08-2005, 12:51 AM Your a real tactful guy Elowe65. Good luck with YOUR buick system. So sorry my (garage) system is below you. ANY BODY can make a complicated anything. The TRULY smart man can make it simple. If you don't like my stuff than DON'T get it. But don't come on here ripping my products because they are a simple but effecient system that does it's job well and to the "T", and does the things that is expected. My system prevents temp from going through the roof and keeps them in check. That's the point. My system was designed and tested in the MOUNTAINS of CO. while pulling big loads. If it can keep my temps cool here, it can do it any where (it's been proven). So sorry my (garage) system works. Good luck with the buick system. Where and what was it tested on again?
noreaster 04-08-2005, 01:54 AM i would hope that the buick guys are more advanced, the turbo buicks have been around for 20 years. id be willing to bet that the duramax technology in 20 years will be crazy. its not right to be bashing somebodys product based on your opinion.
