is it possible to use air ride for the suspension on a 24 foot flatbed 2 axles total 14 000 lbs instead of the leaf oem ???
the ride would be that much better !!
on it make a lot of noise when I hit a crack in the road...
I live in Quebec too so that doen not help
What you guys think of it ??
I have a 2008 2500hd silverado z85 2wd long bed

We use to convert leaf spring to air ride on our semi trucks all the time. Did it on Kenworth, Freights and Peterbilts. I'm not going to say it's easy, but it can be done. It is easier if you have another truck to look and just dublicate what was done on that truck.

A place to start is somthing along the lines of ladder bars for each axle, with semi airbags over the axle, and a panhard bar for each axle.
I would run limiting straps to you don't blow the shocks.

buddy put two sets of firestone bags on his 30FT GN. Left the leafs in place and put the bags on like we do on our HD's uses the batt on the trailer for the winch to opp the compressor and has the bag controls on the trailer. load up the trailer adjust the bags and hit the road. They acutally bent the frame on the trailer not long after from over loading it. Went back and did some pretty crazy re-inforcement and all is good. Trailer is twice as strong and weights about 1k lbs more now with all the bracing they used. Its a pretty slick set up.

Kelderman air ride makes an air bag set up for trailer axles. It’s about $1300 for a tandem axle with leaf springs, that’s according to an old price list I have from them.
