If I recall correctly the instructions that came with the Edge said 21/64" for the drill, and a 1/8" pipe tap.

My Edge pyro was 1/4" pipe thread....use a 7/16 tap drill for that.

I'm using the Autometer gage, I havent got them yet and was wondering what to buy for a drill and tap for the Autometer gages, they might be different than the edge pyro.

The HOOT method is specific to that probe and some are different. Use the instructions privided for drill and tap sizes. I modified the HOOT method and just hooked the outlet of my shop vac to the exhaust and turn it on (no engine runnimg) or you could use a leaf blower just a couple wraps of duct tape to the tailpipe.
