Just wondering how it works with all the different brand name fuel filters that all say Stanadyne on them. Are they all made by Stanadyne, and then the other companies(like Fram) just box them in their own box? Or does each company(like Fram) make them, and then put the Stanadyne name on them?

I ask because I get the Fram ones super cheap from my buddy at the local parts store, but I know Fram stuff usually is crap. But if all it is is a Stanadyne made filter in a Fram box then I don't care because it must still be quality then.

Is that how it works?

It is fine. Seems like most the 6.5 fuel filter is made by Stanadyne boxed as different brand. There are some that does not have the stamp but it is hard to find.
