Ringer68 03-12-2005, 07:04 AM Hi Guys, I just joined recently and think this is a really great site. I ordered a 2005 Sierra 2500HD Dmax CC SB on Feb 25. Dealer said it would take about 6 weeks for delivery. From reading other posts around this forum, it seems like it is taking longer than that. How long did it take to get yours if you got one recently or to you guys that have one on order how many weeks did the dealer tell you. Thanks, Ringer68 Gray Max 03-12-2005, 10:32 AM It really depends on where you live. I am 30mi north east if Cincinnati and trucks get here pretty quick. My order was placed Feb 25 with TPW of 3/14. A friends trucks was ordered the same day and it was built last Sat. and delivered to the dealer yesterday. If mine follows the same time frame it should be here the week of the 21st. (At least that's what the dealer keeps telling me!) I've since located the same truck at a dealer a few hundred miles away. I did a search on GMC's website within about a 150 mile radius looking for a Silver Birtch CC SB D/A 4X4 SLT with tow package. I actually found several, but none with extendable camper mirrors. So in order to get (My perfect truck) I bit the bullet and ordered one. And now the wait, I feel like a kid with Christmas just a few weeks away. Don't know how ordering process is done by dealers, but they said the order would be sent to GM the next day and take about 6 weeks. Since we are in the same state, mine will probably take 8 weeks also. Hope it comes sooner though. I need to get some miles racked up on it quickly since I tow an 8000# Travel Trailer and my first trip is the middle of May. It is my understanding that I need at least 500 miles on it before I start Towing. Even more would probably be better. I'm going to throw that question up on the forum and see what comes up. Side note; I ordered my truck from a southcentral Pennsylvania dealer. Hope this doesn't mess up the delivery times I quoted, but I think all trucks in our area come into Baltimore via CSX train and then ship out to dealers from there. He said order went in the day after I placed it (Feb 25) which would put delivery about April 8. I dealt directly with the owner.
