Come to notice that these Silverado's especially in snow plowing applications are having issues blowing through pads and rotors.... I have especially noticed uneven pad wear,(only the center of the pad wears flat) And thus trashing your rear rotors in a short time.....Check em out and if this is the case, resurface your rotors, and replace your pads.....New rotors arent cheap..... Seen this on almost every GMT 800 plow truck around
I also heard something about the front tires throwing water onto the rear pads softening up the pad material Think theres a splash shield etc available

P.S. Those with worthless E-Brakes(pedal to floor no holding power) tighten em up with a star wheel adjuster spoon....Did rear rotors and pads a while back and cranked down on the star wheel adjuster... My e brake never felt better....She hold on hills fine...even if Sally Struthers was sitting in the bed

(I've got a steep driveway and the parking brake won't hold the truck.... Dealer says all is "normal.")

ChevyHD:
I had an issue with my rear brakes dragging or sticking last year. Took it to 2 dealers, first one said it's nothing. Second on pulled off tires and took off rotor and caliper and saw a bunch of rust every where, especially in the parking brake assembly. They cleaned and lubed everything and now it appears not to be dragging much. I think they could do better but... oh well. If it gets worse I'll be back. Later
