: Dual Electric Fans?

Just wondering if anybody has used dual electric fans instead of the oem or aftermarket clutch fans. I know gassers gain about 15-25hp and equal amounts of torque with equal or better cooling.

a couple people have used them. They draw hudge amounts of amps from the alt. and don't equal the mechanical fan's air flow. It might require a bigger amp alt. to pull it off.

I had one on my 87 lifted burb. QM is right, it drew a lot of juice (30amps, IIRC), but worked for me cooling off a 350 gasser. I put a body lift in that truck. Doing so caused the motor to stay down with the frame and the radiator went up with the body. So I had to either rebuild my fan shroud or put in an electric fan. I decided to go with the electric fan to see if there was actually a noticeable increase in HP. There wasn't. And I'd be pretty hesitant to try one on a 6.5, since heat is such an issue with these engines already.
