Hello All!
Just a quick question, seems like I remember something about a screen in the fuel filter/water seperator. I tried searching but nothing showed up.

Go to ssdiesel suppply and look in the maintenance section. They have what you need. The filter will cost about six dollars.

That is what I thought. Do they get plugged much?

Probably never.

The screen is after the filter, so only filtered fuel gets through it. I suppose if your fuel filter element disintigrated or something it may get jammed up, but generally, no.

The odds of that filter getting plugged are slim to none. I added an inline filter to mine, but I have never had any problems with the screen in the filter bowl. When I change that filter I like to suck out as much of the left-over fuel in the bowl with a turkey baster.

I got mine from a Stanadyne dealer for $3. Never needed it tho as my old one was in fact still in there.

That screen have more chance of it not to be there and plugging. In other words, you loose it when changing the fuel filter. It is a Stanadyne item.
