I'm in a VERY NICE Off-Road shop talking to the owner. We're taling about power 'adders' and stuff. I told him there is a dyno just up the road, if you really want to know. He drives a Ford so, I asked him "how much ya think ya got?" ... His reply.....Well, with all the power adders I got about 600HP. .....I couldn't help it, just couldn't:rolleyes: . I said..... you mean about 400 RWHP? He said....... "about 600" ):h I did not laugh in his face, just turned said goodbye and walked out the door.


It's just silly how/what people will believe when it's written on a box.:eek: Man, this guy adds builds of 5 to 50k on 4x4 trucks for a living......:help2:

Yeah, the local diesel performance shop around here is pro ford. which is ok....;) until i get my tranny done. juice says he is coming down this summer... i need to figure out a way to let juice pour a drum of wup-ass on them.):h

I have been setting them up pretty good. yeah dmaxs have problems, yeah i limp my tranny...... :muahaha:

I whipped a 7.3 the other day.
The owner swore he had 500 RWHP too!

I then pulled out my 528 HP Dyno sheet from DDP.... I never saw a 5-10/300 lb guy either want to a) beat me to a pulp or b) cry

He was using 2 15lb bottles of NOS and had a 40 gal propane tank! plus injects, wicked wheel etc.

He wanted to know why my smoke cleared up... so i showed him my pass. compartment (no bottle there) and under the tonneau cover (hmm no bottle there either) and under the truck... no bottle or tank either!):h

Poor bugger.... I feel so bad for him! Did i do a bad thing or what?

I bet he chooses option c) go back, redyno the Ford and if it don't make 500 hp go hunting for the guy that told him it did.:ro)

:lol: if we are going off labels for horsepower numbers then I have like 3000hp to the wheels!!! LOL I am positive too, the box says so!

sorry, couldn't resist..I hear the same stuff in the sports car circle I run in..

I must not be very persuasive.
I tell people all the time "the dmaxs are making 500+/- hp on #2 only.... to the rear wheels.... and there are only a couple of trucks with twins on the dmax.....

A friend of mine has a 96 Power Joke 7.3 (stock) and says it is hard keeping the tires from spinning on dry pavement. So I said, REALLY!! Tried not to laugh. I believe it is only 225hp off the flywheel.

They don't just like trying to pick on you Chevy guys. I get it ALL the time. People are so blinded by the ford emblem around here it's crazy. It brings a smile to your face when you pull along side another brand of truck on the hills pulling more weight then them and then pull away like they are standing still. It gets you that " what just happened here " look.:cool2:
