Greetings all,

Hoping you can help me. at times when I put my truck in reverse and turn to back into my driveway (unloaded) I get some noise, clunks it seems like. This weekend, I was pulling my 5er out of the campsite turning the wheel and it made a clunking from the rear as well. Any ideas what i'm listening too and should I take it to the dealer or is it jus tthe limited slip engaging?

Any advice or insight appreciated!

Apparenly according to my dealer I need my rear end flushed. I told him I didn't kow him that well. But I am getting it done Monday. Seems to be a common noise and the flushing cures it.:)

I had the same problem. There was shuddering and it felt like it was locked all the time. The flush and fluid upgrade worked wonders. My question is are there any long term effects?

If you've read some of the earlier posts on DP., most of those who have serviced their own vehicles and changed over to synthetic lube in the diff.'s have found that they came from the factory underfilled. I know mine did! I can't say if any long term effects will result, but I would be sure to document the service and try to ask the tech. if the level was low.
