Just got my edge back and its a dead box. Company says for $350 I can upgrade to a new box. Has anyone done this, and was it successful or was it a waste of money? Don't want to spend the money and then end up with the same problem.

id throw the edge away and take the $350 and spend it on someone elses tuner... JMO

Edge has soooo many recalls. Get EFI Live. You wont regret it.

Was looking at EFI Live. looks a little intimidating. Might be more then I need. Is it easy to use? Have looked at all the links.

Me too on the intimidation part. I called John Kennedy at Kennedy Diesel and he helped to solve my problem.

IM IN THIS BOAT... CAN YOU PUT IN A MILD TUNE FOR TUCKS THAT CANT TAKE EXTREME TUNES YET?

I had the same thing happen about a year ago. I upgraded to the new box and have had no problems. I even talked them into getting level 6 for free!...except the $350...LOL

Idk about you guys... but seriously if i spent that kind of money on a tuner and basically got the shaft from the company.. i would feel better spending more money somewhere else than giving more money to those guys for the same product that let me down before.. i mean do the math.. im gussing you guys spend what 600-700 dollars for the first edge and then another 350 dollars for the "upgrade" that they messed up originally.. so you have $950-$1050 in the edge.... you guys are nuts... sorry for the rant btw

Its not really the same "junk" as the original. It is improved design. Besides that, the attitude monitor is worth half that money in my opinion. I will be going EFI Live soon, but will retain the Edge, even if only for the monitor.

i been contemplating the same thing, the PO bought the edge juice and i have the color monitor with gps (tom tom) so id hate to switch but if i send in my box and it isnt fixed, i guess ill have to... that EFI is looking more and more appeasing...im not looking to drop 3K into my tranny though...
