my girlfriend bought a used 06 GMC 1500 X cab Z71 a few months back it only has 34,000 miles on it after washing it a few weeks back it was parked in the sun i noticed some blotches in the paint the truck is deep blue metallic but in several spots on both sides of the truck its a much lighter blue like the paint is very thin in those spots so we took it to a dealer close by they said they'd paint the entire truck under warranty no problem at all....so we go to pick the truck up and only one side is painted what gives? so i asked the body shop guy what the deal was he said gm told him to paint one side thats all they were willing to do BS so i called gm they said they had no record of the problem with her truck so i figured the guy was lying to me. Brought it to another dealer where i just bought my 08 to try and get the rest of the truck painted gm rep comes out and looks at it says its perfectly normal and its just normal wear n tear? wtf i have an 03 and my dad has an 01 that both look ten times better than her truck and the paint is even all the way through its total bs what this guy is saying. so i called gm again last night to get it straightened out and the girl on the phone i spoke with was being a total b*tch saying exactly what the gm rep said when i told her about my other truck and my dads her only response was every color and every truck is different i'm at my wits end i'm trying to help my girl out as much as i can but its a losing battle she pays good money each month for the truck gm should honor it....sorry for the rant just really aggrevated at the moment
