Talked to a guy today that just bought a new 3500HD Dually CC. He said he told the dealer he did not want the Allison 1000 transmission he wanted the new 5000 transmission. What is he talking about?

WAskier 03-11-2005, 01:10 AM The only transmissions allison lists on their website that are in the 5000 number range are for those big coal mining dump trucks and off highway oilfield work.
