Hey Guys

I was just wondering what this wheel and tire combo would be like. Ive read alot of treads on here about the Toyo Proxes ST tires. Some ppl love them and have had great mileage and cut some awesome 60' times , but others say the the load rating aint enough for a diesel and that they dont wear to about 15,000 on just street driving and no dragging.

So I guess after I quit reading all those posts I'm still just as confised as when I started. I know that i read that 4warned has them on his truck. And alot of big power guys have had them from time to time.

My truck is bone stock as far as the motor and performance parts, But i bought it with a Truxxx 3" to 1" leveling kit, CrankItUpDiesels Centerlink and Sleeves with Kennedy Pitman and Idler Supports on it. With 285 Mickey Thompson MTZ on the stockers that I will use for winter and sled pulls.

I just want something to put on the truck for daily driving and drag racing. If i have to pull anything i will just switch them.

I want 305/50/20 with Diamo 17 Karat 20x10. What backspacing do i need on this wheels to make them fit. How many miles should I expect on these tires with 5% drag racing and 95% daily driving. And how will the truck react with 4 ply tire on a big diesel truck....I just used to a 10 ply have no idea about 4 ply speed rated tires.

Thanks in advance

the 305/50/20 has a rating of 3086 lbs per tire and they are D load range. I hauled a 78 ford F150 4x4 on a car trailer with them and they seemed to do just fine. for the street & drag racing they are awesome tires I think

I wonder if there is an E rated 20" toyo proxes st in like a 33" tall size?? I have no problem with D rated but would rather have E if i could.

I havent seen anything. they are coming out with a new proxes II but dont know if any of those would be E load range either. you know they are getting put on the diesel trucks that weigh alot you would think they would make some street tires in E load range but I guess they dont pay attention to that

i run the 295/45r20's ( 30.5 tall ) and i like them you loose some wieght capcity from the 305/50r20, mine are rated at 2700 lbs per corner the hook well at the track and great on the highway dont know on the mileage though no performance tires i've ever had have made it past 20000 or so . but they are a 1/2 the cost of at's or muds for the 20's so you'll prob brake even ;)
